This tournament means the world to me and this group for countless reasons. The biggest and most important reason is because we get to play this amazing game to raise money for cancer care. It feels like nearly every adult has had someone in their life (friend or family member, or friend of a friend) who has had to battle cancer. Personally, my uncle had cancer, my dad has had cancer, my father in law has had cancer, my grandmother had cancer, the list goes on and on unfortunately, two situations of people I know who have battled cancer had two different results. One was someone in their early 30s getting breast cancer and dying, another was a 5 year old getting brain cancer, beating it, and then a year later getting it again, and beating it again. So many people have stories similar to these, which is what makes this tournament more unique than some other adult tournaments out there, because as an adult if you can help raise money to help people in need then sweet, if you can do it by playing the game you love, even better. As someone who can write and write and write, just know that this tournament means the world to me. This tournament has become something that many people look forward to yearly, without those people, and our biggest sponsor, The Chiller, we would not be able to do this for so long. Our goal is to help as many people as we can with the money raised to go to the OhioHealth Cancer Care Fund. And remember, it's for charity bruh .
